What is C-PAB?

Community Police Advisory Boards (C-PABs) were created in 1993 to advise and inform the Los Angeles Police Departments Area Commanding Officers of quality-of-life problems and concerns in the community. Members of C–PAB represent the diversity of the community, including residents, businesses, neighborhood councils, social services, religious organizations and a multitude of agencies, departments and City Council representatives. The C–PABs meet monthly with their Commanding Officer, Senior Lead Officers and other City representatives to share information and develop problem-solving strategies.
